Considering this will be a re-launch of Agents of Oblivion on Ebon Hawk. Our Agents have decided that the Clan would benefit greatly by launching a new website.

This site will serve as a staging ground for raid scheduling, general communication, guild bank appropriations, and loot distribution for Agents of Oblivion. We stand on the cusp of a new era in the proud tradition of Agents of Oblivion…

With in the week Bioware’s much anticipated Star Wars the Old Republic will be fully operational. For the first time since April of 2009 the infamous Agents of Oblivion will be reunited in the newest installment of Star Wars lore.

I will be posting a new Vent info in the member’s area of our forms to consolidate communications.

I look forward to seeing all the failure faces… I hope to meet some new ones there.

SWTOR New Player Guide

Agents of Oblivion are eagerly awaiting the December 20th launch date. For those who preordered the game the launch will be sooner than that. Bsam and Xardul have been beta testing SWTOR for a few months now. Today Xardul has launched a non-spoiler rough guide that will help our Agents progress through the game. I will contact Bsam to see if he can expand on Xarduls guide today.

TOR PRE-ORDER AVAILABLE!

Yes its true!
Electronic Arts, BioWare and LucasArts are excited to announce that they have begun taking pre-orders for Star Wars: The Old Republic! Pre-Order now to get early game access and as an added bonus you’ll receive a Color Stone to change your weapon effect!

I still have no word on hard launch, or when the preview will be available. Speculation is pointing toward September. Still this is good news from a game that has been enveloped with post production development.

Launch Date in Question

Still eagerly awaiting TOR... Luckily I bring news to the republic.

EA released a new financial report yesterday detailing the company's financial results for the fourth fiscal quarter which ended on March 31st, 2011. The report appears positive for EA investors, but it's the details in the gaming news that will have gamers drooling. The launch window for Star Wars: The Old Republic (SWTOR) is confirmed in the document to be the second half of the 2012 fiscal year; this means that the game could be released as late as March of next year.

A member of the community spoke with EA over the launch of ToR. According to the May blog by a Sith source Darth Hater this is what was reaffirmed:

* Star Wars: The Old Republic will ship in CY 2011.
* Star Wars: The Old Republic will be launched as a Digital Service.
* Subscription revenue expected to rise with the launch of SWTOR.
* "While we fully anticipate launching Star Wars: The Old Republic in Q2 or Q3, the low end of our guidance range assumes the outside possibility of a January launch."
* Server infrastructure for Star Wars: The Old Republic is a significant FY12 cost investment.
* SWTOR mentioned as a Subscription based MMO.
* Over 1 million testers (signed up)
* We're holding the date for two reasons:
1. Don't want to tip off the competition.
2. To get more information from testing.

So as you have read the target window is being held under wraps. Some analyst believe it may launch by Q3, others as late as January 2012. I have searched my feelings and my unprofessional opinion would be that it will launch very shortly after the "Ending Event" of Star Wars Galaxies the old Sony online Entertainment MMO. This Ending event is December 15th 2011. Hopefully this is not the case, but it makes sense.
