Do I have what it takes to join AoO?
To Join AoO you have at least 25 man quality gear must have ventrilo,
and have some knowledge of the content that we are currently raiding
via first hand experience or reading up and watching a video. You can
check our website to know exactly where we are in raid progression.

What are loot rules?
At AoO we run on Loot Council. Loot is given out judging on various
factors like attendance, seniority, past loot, and performance.

Attendance
Do you show up to raids consistently? Are you on time? Do you stay until
the end of the raid? If your attendance isn’t very consistent you aren’t
going to be very high priority when it comes to getting loot.

Seniority
Basically all this means is that if you are not yet at our Raider rank
“Operative” you will not receive loot over an actual raider. It also means
that if an officer also needs that item you may be less likely to get it. The
exception to this rule is our Main Tank priority policy. A Main Tank will
receive loot before an off tank or anyone else on their token.

Past Loot
Have you gotten loot more recently than the other raiders that want the
item? Have you gotten more loot overall? If you are pretty much equal
with the other interested raiders we will then look at your overall
performance and compare the gear that would be replaced.

Performance- Performance isn’t just about meters.
Some of the things we look for out of our raiders performance wise include:

Being prepared for the Raid
Did you have consumables? (buff food, flasks, pots, reagents etc..) Did
you read up on a new fight or at least watch a video? Did you bring your
resist set or any other special item needed for a specific fight? Did you set
out enough time to stay for the entire duration of the raid? Also, make
sure you have any add-ons you need for raiding and that those add-ons
are up to date.

Knowing your class
When we ask for something of you in a raid we expect a quick response.
Know what your class's role is in a raid and be ready to do whatever
might be asked of you. Also be aware of threat, pay attention to omen
and use your class's aggro wipes as often as possible. There is no excuse
for taking aggro, at this point in the game you should understand how
threat works and be attentive enough to avoid pulling off a tank.

Boss fight performance
Are you aware of your surroundings? Can you follow instructions and
learn a fight? Can you stay alive during a boss fight? And if so, how are
you doing in comparison to the rest of the raid?

Raid times
Our Major Raids are always scheduled Sun&Tues 8pm-12pm with invites
going out around 7:30 server time. Ten man raids will be done on off
nights and are not required. If for any reason you can’t make a raid be
sure to post it in the forums or send an officer a tell so we can be aware
before raid time and be prepared to fill you're slot.

What are the different ranks and what do they mean?

The Ranks in AoO include: Alt, Friend, Scrub, Operative, and Agent

Alt
In order to have an alt in Agents of Oblivion you must be at least at
operative rank and are only allowed one alt. We've made an alt guild for
all other alts. This is mostly to prevent any one person from having twenty
different lowbie alts in the guild. Exceptions can be made for players
with multiple level 80 characters seeking to run 10 mans with the guild.

Friend
Any friend of a current raider is welcome to join us as a Friend rank.
This is so long as that friend doesn’t have any past grievances with
members of the guild, doesn’t pollute g-chat, and is not going to start
drama. Friend’s do not have any raiding rights and do not have rights
to anything in the guild bank.

Scrub
This is our initiate rank. When you first join the guild you will start as this
rank and remain there until your 2 week initiation period is over. As far as
raiding and loot goes for this rank, you will have a chance at a raid slot if
no raider is there to fill it and you will get loot only if no Operative needs it for their main spec. Depending on your attendance and performance in
those 2 weeks, you will either get a promotion to operative or be removed
from the guild at the end of initiation.

Operative
If you pass initiation you become an “Operative” (raider). With this
promotion you gain priority for a raid spot, the right to loot, and the
privilege of getting goods out of the bank. Be aware though that being a
raider is a privilege, and lack of attendance to raids or any misconduct
can cause you to lose the rank and be demoted back to scrub. If you are
demoted to Scrub you will have to earn the rank of operative back the
same way you got it in the first place. You'll be promoted back after two
weeks of raiding without any absences.

Agent
Agent is our officer rank. Officers are in charge of deciding who is the best
candidate for loot. They are also in charge of managing the guild bank;
giving out items, selling items, and keeping track of contribution. These
are people that you should make sure to have some respect for because
misconduct and drama are not going to be tolerated.

Hope this answered all the questions you might have had. If there is
anything that you still are not clear on or that was not addressed here,
feel free to contact any of the officers listed below:
Åeneas, Evelyne,Toothpick, Hest, Lucrytiv, Mooballsbob, or Ghöstwalker
